Celebrities graced numerous November issue magazines wearing Simon G jewelry. First Katy Perry rocked the cover of Cosmopolitan wearing a charming Simon G diamond and 18k yellow gold heart shaped pendant necklace. There was also editorial coverage within the magazine showcasing an exquisite Simon G diamond and 18k yellow gold bracelet. Next, Brooke Burke was featured in Redbook wearing a Simon G diamond and 18k three tone gold fine pendant necklace with a letter ‘B’ design during her photoshoot. Finally, November’s issue of Glamour highlights a gorgeous pair of Simon G diamond and 18k two tone gold dangle earrings. We absolutely adore these exquisite earrings (also comes in a full white gold design with matching pendant) and the only thing more appealing than its delicate aesthetic, is the price. Ladies, these would make an excellent gift for the fast approaching holiday season, wouldn’t you agree?
The President has a good eye for fine jewelry. In December 2009, Mr. Obama gave this exquisite custom made Garavelli diamond brooch pin to Michelle as an anniversary gift. The brooch has a floral design and scintillates with pave-set round brilliant cut white diamonds. She first wore it on Oprah’s “Christmas at the White House” special and has been wearing it in a variety of creative ways ever since, including attached to her pearl necklace as a pendant on the cover of Good Housekeeping. Michelle Obama’s diamond brooch pin, has a very similar design to one of Garavelli’s other floral inspired designs that was sold at Firenze Jewels earlier this year. 2010 has seen a significant theme in floral jewelry – everything from engagement rings to beautiful pieces such as this one.
The Hills star Stephanie Pratt wore a pair of Simon G white and black diamond dangle earrings earlier this month to LAVO at the Palazzo for gal pal Lo Bosworth’s TheLoDown.com website launch event. The earrings frame her face nicely and are on trend with Fall 2010’s jewelry designs. The 24 year old recently posed for PETA’s Be Nice to Bunnies iPhone application in April, which is intended to help the public find stores and products that are kind to animals. As for her infamous brother Spencer? This month marks a year since they’ve last spoken.

Eva Mendes recently posed for a photo-call wearing Le Vian diamond bangles and a ring before the Russian premiere of “The Other Guys”. Stacked diamond bangles paired with a right hand ring has increasingly been a hot jewelry trend we’ve seen. Eva looks exquisite, and the jewelry adds the right touch to compliment her dress. The shot above was taken on the roof of the Ritz Carlton Hotel on September 13th in Moscow. The 36 year old actress is set to have another role in a movie called Southbound currently under production.
Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) held at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles continued the bold jewelry trends we saw at the Primetime Emmy Awards – statement earrings paired well with right hand rings and stacked bangle bracelets. Dark metals such as black rhodium and blackened platinum encrusted in black diamonds were a prominent theme in jewelry. Some of our favorite on-trend fashionistas who rocked the event sported fresh and edgy blackened metal earrings with bracelets or right hand rings encrusted in yellow diamonds, black diamonds, smokey topaz or blue hued stones.
MTV reality series The Hills stars Audrina Patridge, Lo Bosworth and Stephanie Pratt all glittered on the VMAs white carpet. Patridge accessorized a shimmering silver dress with stacked diamond bracelets and diamond bangles on both wrists and Bosworth glammed up her California luxe look with a pair of diamond and yellow gold dangle earrings. Going for understated elegance, Stephanie Pratt wore a pair diamond studs, bangles and stackable rings by none other than Le Vian. Singer Taylor swift (who was on the receiving end of Kanye West’s antics at last year’s event) followed suit with fine pair of Le Vian earrings.
Although the New York Times described Chelsea Handler as being one of the “worst hosts in the show’s history”, the comedian did not disappoint in the fashion and accessories department. The jewelry pieces she wore throughout the event consisted of a black diamond and platinum cuff bracelet with a set of platinum diamond white and black dangle earrings, and a white, black and yellow diamond right hand ring.
She also wore diamond, gold and coral bracelets and bangles. Katy Perry and Twilight actress Ashley Greene also rocked in black. Perry paired her eyebrow-raising ensemble with a black diamond and blackened sterling silver right hand ring encrusted with black pave diamonds and a set of rose cut diamond earrings. Meanwhile, Greene adorned herself in an exquisite set of platinum black diamond earrings and a platinum black diamond and black sapphire bracelet.
Another highlight at the event was Selena Gomez who stood out in cool blue hues wearing short drop crystal earrings and a matching bold right hand ring. Sofia Vergara whom we loved at the Emmy’s also shimmered at the VMAs in a blackened diamond platinum cuff bracelet and diamond platinum earrings, both featuring white and black stones, paired with a platinum diamond ring all totaling over 500 carats.
Renowned fashion and bridal jewelry designer Charles Krypell speaks in this interview below about the concept, pricing and strategies for the latest pieces in their collection of fine designer jewelry at the recent Prestige Promenade at JCK.
Focused on attracting the attention of jewelry collectors instead of jewelry shoppers, the New York designer showcases two fine 3-link bracelets featuring black diamonds, brown diamonds and a combination of sterling silver and gold which he says is a very big look at the moment. Suggested retail prices average between $300-$7,000.
