2015 Golden Globes Jewelry Winners

Naomi Watts radiated in a canary yellow strapless Gucci dress paired with a pavé-set diamond serpent necklace weighing 76 carats in 18k white gold. The Aussie actress seems to be creating a signature look with serpent jewelry. We’ve spotted the star on at least two other occasions wearing similar pieces.

Golden Globe winner Julianne Moore shimmered in a Givenchy Haute Couture metallic gown. The Still Alice star accessorized with over 80 carats of diamonds including a 44 carat asscher cut diamond bracelet, a diamond eternity ring 7.7ctw, an oval shaped diamond eternity ring 4.74ctw and a second diamond bracelet 24.3ctw.

Although Reese Witherspoon didn’t snag Best Actress in a Drama award, she scored big in the jewelry category. The Wild star accessorized a silver Calvin Klein gown gleaming with metallic beads with over $1 million in diamonds. The dazzling baubles included a pair of diamond platinum earrings ($600,000), a diamond bangle bracelet ($200,000) and a diamond platinum ring 6.75ctw ($695,000).

Golden Globe nominee Jessica Chastain glowed in dark bronze Atelier Versace gown. Her loose waves hairstyle inspired by vintage Hollywood glamour, revealed a pair of diamond chandelier earrings featuring 194 round brilliant cut white diamonds 12.91ctw in 18k white gold.

Orange is the New Black star Laura Prepon opted for a black Christian Siriano gown accessorized with Simon G Jewelry. The pieces include a diamond fringe necklace, a pair of diamond dangle earrings in 18k white, two diamond rings featuring white, rose and yellow gold and a two tone diamond bangle.

Amal Alamuddin wore a black Dior Haute Couture dress with a pair of white gloves she sewed herself. Mrs. Clooney completed her look with a pair of 26.62 carat diamond chandelier earrings in platinum.

Golden Globe nominee Viola Davis paired a crystal embroidered red strapless Donna Karan dress with a 39 carat vintage diamond and platinum bangle.

Emmy Awards 2013 Jewelry Winners

Carrie Underwood stole the show in over in over $25 million worth of diamonds.  The singer, who performed one of the Beatles’ hits Yesterday, paired a deep purple Romona Keveza gown with an $18 million diamond necklace, a $3.2 million pair of diamond studs and a $4 million pear shaped right hand diamond ring.

Sofia Vergara stunned in over $7 million in diamonds and gemstones. Television’s highest paid actress, accessorized a scarlet lace Vera Wang gown with an elaborate pair of platinum dangle earrings set with Colombian emeralds, rubies and sapphires, a 40 carat Colombian emerald and rose cut diamond ring and 21 carat asscher cut white diamond ring.

Best supporting actress Emmy winner Anna Gunn accessorized a cream pink and black lace Romona Keveza gown with a pair opal and pink opal dangle earrings.

Sarah Hyland looked gorgeous in green. The Modern Family star donned a CH Carolina Herrera emerald and black lace gown with a pair of dangle earrings dripping in emeralds, a diamond and emerald ring and matching emerald bangle.

2012 Primetime Emmys Jewelry Winners

Classic white diamonds in dramatic settings paired with metallic fabrics was a a notable trend at the 64th Primetime Emmys on Sunday. Here’s who we thought were the biggest jewelry winners of the evening:

Sofia Vergara dazzled in a shimmering mermaid inspired Zuhair Murad gown with over 175 carats of white diamonds. Vergara’s jewels included a set of dramatic pear shaped drop diamond earrings (45 carats), a diamond ring with two center stones (20 carats), a marquise cut diamond and platinum bracelet (25 carats), an intriguing diamond serpent bracelet (10 carats) and a 75 carat diamond cuff bracelet.

Lucy Liu arrived wearing one of the most interesting ensembles of the evening, a silver strapless Versace gown composed entirely of metal. The ‘Elementary’ actress paired her bold, contemporary look with classic style jewelry, including a set of 30 carat diamond studs and a diamond platinum right hand ring.

Sarah Hyland worked with Georgina Chapman of Marchesa in designing her dove-grey gown. Hyland embellished her look with a pair of diamond and ruby cluster earrings, a diamond and ruby right hand ring and a diamond and platinum bracelet.

Presented just a week ago during London Fashion Week, Nicole Kidman donned a striking Antonio Berardi Spring 2013 gown with Christian Louboutin Vampanodo sandals. The Australian actress completed her look with a bold set of diamond and carved lavender jade drop earrings.

Christina Hendricks paired her custom metallic Siriano with a set of diamond and ruby dangle earrings and stacked cuffs and bangles embellished with diamonds, rubies and jade stones.

Jessica Paré radiated on the red carpet in a custom white Grecian gown by Jason Wu. She complimented her simple yet classic look with a right hand ring featuring a cushion cut emerald weighing 15 carats and two sapphires 6.59ctw.


Brooke Astor Jewels to Auction in New York


Five years after her death, an auction of famed socialite and philanthropist Brooke Astor’s personal items, including $5 million worth of jewels, will be held at Sotheby’s New York on Sept 24-25.

Among the numerous works of art to be highlighted in the 800 piece collection are a 22.84 carat emerald and diamond ring valued at $150,000, an emerald and diamond necklace valued at $350,000 and a fancy color diamond, ruby and coral lion brooch pin set in 18k gold valued at $30,000.

Following her husband’s death in 1959, Brooke Astor took charge of his philanthropic endeavors and served as the trustee of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. While some of us may recall the scandal that surrounded her name during her final years, throughout her life, Astor distributed tens of millions of her fortune to various charitable causes, most notably The New York Public Library, the Animal Medical Center in Manhattan and MoMA.

Other auction highlights to be offered at Astor’s Park Avenue duplex and Westchester County mansion include Chinese lacquer furniture dating to the Qing dynasty and a variety of canine themed master paintings.

The collection will be showcased at Sotheby’s York Avenue Galleries on September 17 prior to auction.

Debra Messing accessorized a beautiful black one-shouldered Monique Lhuillier gown with a bold and exotic pair of emerald and purple gemstone drop earrings.

Jenna Dewan-Tatum paired a beautiful green Maria Lucia Hohan gown with a set of uniquely crafted diamond and opal drop earrings.

Angelina Jolie wore a mesmerizing ivory colored Atelier Versace gown with scarlet red detailing that matched both her clutch as well as her famed pout. She paired the gown with a set of exquisite 25 carat diamond studs and 12 carat platinum and diamond ring.

Combining old Hollywood glamor with a touch of fairytale princess, Charlize Theron arrived in a breathtaking blush-hued Christian Dior gown with a vintage style diamond and platinum headband.

Project Runway hostess Heidi Klum wore a custom Calvin Klein Collection bisque silk crepe sheath dress with a plunging back. She paired her gown with a statement turquoise bib necklace and turquoise right hand ring.

Kate Beckinsale donned a strapless Roberto Cavalli gown paired with over 300 carats of diamonds, including a set of beautiful over-sized diamond earrings and two stacked antique style bangle bracelets.

Having a second child only five months ago, Jessica Alba looked spectacular in a dark pink Gucci strapless gown which she paired with a set of diamond dangle earrings, a diamond ring and diamond and platinum bangle bracelet.

Sofia Vergara looked stunning in a dark blue Vera Wang gown. However, it paled in comparison to the exquisite set of 31.58 carat diamond earrings, two stacked intricately designed 62.72 carat vintage style diamond bangles and two rings she wore all rumored to be worth at least $5 million.

Freida Pinto radiated a peacock blue strapless silk cloque gown by Prada accessorized with a marvelous mesh Chopard bib necklace featuring 1,705 micro-pave white diamonds and 145 carats of yellow diamonds all of which enhanced her natural glow.

Emily Deschanel chose an interesting play of colors by pairing a set of diamond and emerald drop earrings with a a royal blue Grecian gown.
