New photos have surfaced of Brad Pitt wearing what seems to be a classic style wedding band. Cameras caught a glimpse of the sparkler on two recent occasions. The first was over the weekend when the A-list actor was out shopping with daughter Zahara for her birthday at The Grove in Hollywood, California. He was smiling and seemed to be in high spirits. The second was yesterday on the set of his new film Moneyball.
Not too long ago, Brangelina gave actress Mindy Cohn, the godmother of two of their children, a huge 4-5 carat solitaire diamond ring as a thank you gift. In an October 2006 interview with Esquire Magazine, Pitt said that he and Jolie would marry when everyone in America is legally able to marry (voicing their support for gay marriage). Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) held at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles continued the bold jewelry trends we saw at the Primetime Emmy Awards – statement earrings paired well with right hand rings and stacked bangle bracelets. Dark metals such as black rhodium and blackened platinum encrusted in black diamonds were a prominent theme in jewelry. Some of our favorite on-trend fashionistas who rocked the event sported fresh and edgy blackened metal earrings with bracelets or right hand rings encrusted in yellow diamonds, black diamonds, smokey topaz or blue hued stones.
MTV reality series The Hills stars Audrina Patridge, Lo Bosworth and Stephanie Pratt all glittered on the VMAs white carpet. Patridge accessorized a shimmering silver dress with stacked diamond bracelets and diamond bangles on both wrists and Bosworth glammed up her California luxe look with a pair of diamond and yellow gold dangle earrings. Going for understated elegance, Stephanie Pratt wore a pair diamond studs, bangles and stackable rings by none other than Le Vian. Singer Taylor swift (who was on the receiving end of Kanye West’s antics at last year’s event) followed suit with fine pair of Le Vian earrings.
Although the New York Times described Chelsea Handler as being one of the “worst hosts in the show’s history”, the comedian did not disappoint in the fashion and accessories department. Meanwhile, Greene adorned herself in an exquisite set of platinum black diamond earrings and a platinum black diamond and black sapphire bracelet.
Another highlight at the event was Selena Gomez who stood out in cool blue hues wearing short drop crystal earrings and a matching bold right hand ring. Sofia Vergara whom we loved at the Emmy’s also shimmered at the VMAs in a blackened diamond platinum cuff bracelet and diamond platinum earrings, both featuring white and black stones, paired with a platinum diamond ring all totaling over 500 carats.
Christopher Slowinski of Christopher Designs presents one of his brand new super brilliant patented Crisscut Round diamond creations in this video below recently at Las Vegas. A brand new design that just hit the market, this gorgeous 125 faceted stone features 98% scintillation which is very unusual for this type of diamond says the designer. Seeing a problem for various cuts of round diamonds under very low light conditions, the New York bridal jewelry designer’s goal was to create a new type of diamond that would allow maximum light reflection under any type of lighting. Sizes of stones cut range all the way up to 5 carats and will soon be available in other shapes such as oval and cushion.
